Why did most of the greatest French players play in Juventus? |
Platini, Zidane, Trezeguet, Henry, Thuram, Vieira When Italy FIGC opened again the borders (allowing 2 foreign players per team in the 80s) Juve hired Boniek and Platini. It was a great period. Only problem the team won little in Europe (except a CL in the night of Brussels). Later Juve identified some more players which became champions playing with Juve at high level and helped improve the overall level of French football. Juve however in its history had players of many nationalities (Holland, England, Brazil and many others). The best players often went to Juve as it paid well and won a lot. Juve was and probably will continue to be one of the most intl and successful club in Europe as it is owned by a very wealthy family of carmakers. Only now Spanish clubs are a bit more competitive in terms of salaries for tax reasons. WHY NOT? DUMB Q come back and ask a q after the US wins Gold Cup because italian clubs need french players to excel in the european scene. what do you expect from a juve without french players?its like a milan without brazilian players. and just for the record,it is a french manager who used to be a french player in juve, that dragged them from serie b to seria a.(read didier deschamps) They played for Juventus when they were in Serie B. Because Juventus is one of the best European Clubs and they only accept the best players! BECAUSE ITALY RULES |
