Which is the best football team in your country? Well I'm from the US and currently the best football (soccer) team here based on this seasons results so far would be FC Dallas. They are leading the league with 25 points currently but I don't think that means they are the best. They have won 8 games, lost 6, and have one draw. They have also played 15 games so far this season while 7 of the teams have only played 12 games so far, 1 has played 14, 2 have played 13, 1 has played 11, and one has played in only 10 games so far this season. With that in mind, FC Dallas really can't be the best team in the MLS. It's hard to say which team is the best but based on recent performances I like to think that it is DC United that is the best team and in their last 9 games they have won 6, had 2 draws, and only 1 loss. They have turned things around since the beginning of the season where they lost their first 3 matches despite a good performance in the CONCACAF Champions Cup prior to the start of the season. Overall DC United is the best club in MLS history and are the most successful team in US Soccer history. They won the US version of the "double" in their first year by winning both the MLS Cup and the US Open Cup. They also won the MLS Cup in 1997, 1999, and in 2004. In 1998, they won the CONCACAF Champions Cup and in 1999 they won the Interamerican Cup which is considered to be one of the greatest triumphs in the history of US soccer. In the first 11 season of the MLS they have made it to the playoffs in 8 of those seasons and played in 5 MLS Cup championship games, winning 4 of them. With the way they have turned things around this season I do think they will at least make it to the playoffs and could even win the MLS Cup this season. GO DC UNITED!!!! I'm looking at the Patriots to be the best team on account they didn't have many holes, but managed to snatch up the top offensice and defensive players availlible in free agency, while having a solid draft, and keeping the core of their team intact. ummmm....i live in america, so the soccers not the best, but id say fc dallas or dc united. i think theyre both at the top of their region thingies and they have a better style of play than the other teams. chivas usa and colombus crew are good too. european football right?? |
