Which do you consider to be the best team ever to win the World Cup? |
Common opinion says Brazil in 1970 were the best, but I am inclined to disagree. Attacking wise, yes they were matchless but their defence was hopeless! I think the most convincing ALL-ROUND World Champions were Germany in 1990. They could grind out wins, and were sometimes very flamboyant in what was quite a negative tournament. They also had an impressive run to victory, getting past Yugoslavia, Holland, Czechslovakia, England and Argentina to win. But who says you? 1982 Italy True, they started Awful, but they beat Argentina, Brazil, Poland and Germany in convincing fashion.
