How is C. Ronaldo a team player? |
Seriously.. I don't think he is a team player... He goes solo most of the time, which is the main reason he gets fouled... and worse is that he dives.. and those who talk abt his crosses and assists n blah blah hambug, out of his million crosses, only 10 or 15 are successful... This is no insult to anyone.. Im just having a genuine doubt. Don't let your dislike for him blind you to every aspect of his game Contact. Early in the season, he would frustrate me a little, hanging onto the ball for too long and too often turning over possession. But as I have said before, this season he worked really hard to address many parts of his game and the hogging of the ball and the "diving" has been dramatically reduced. He is young and still maturing . I remember when your Ronaldo first burst onto the scene. He didn't always get the passes away either, preferring to take most shots himself. Its something they learn as they mature. Cristiano gets away some amazing balls to his team mates and can hold the ball up until they are positioned better to receive the pass. They just see what they want to see that is the main reason! um, he's an incredible individual talent. Messi could also be thrown into this category while youre doubting players. people expect them to attack the opponents. if they think he's a ball hog, they wouldnt pass it to him. they know he can produce, thats why he's taking the initiative. who else do you want to hold the ball on Man U..Paul Scholes, Carrick, Park JI Sung? fact is, he is dangerous on the ball, so why not let him attack? the problem is that he's too fast, if you notice, half the time when he's on attack, the rest of the team is left in the dust, he has to slow down most of the time before he even crosses. his crosses are accurate, but they're coming in fast. David Beckham crosses are posistioned and floating, two different styles. CR has a sharp shooting cross. David beckham is considered the best crosser in the game, and i've watched him ove 5 years now, and DB is not successful on all his crosses either, people expect every cross to be a goal, for every shot to go in. even your expectations are too high, those 10-15 successful ones you talk about are goal assists, and for a winger that scored 20+ goals with10+ assists, thats better than 99% of the players out there he gets tripped up because people get frustrated and can't stop him. look at some youtube videos and you'll see why 'he's such a great player. he doesnt have to have 10000 assists to be considered a team player, if he scores, if he produces...thats all they care about! give respect where respect is due. he's a freak of nature, and possibly the hardest working player at Man U. constantly making those burst of speed runs. theres no one like him. Ronaldhino, Kaka, Totti are all great, but he's right up there with them. theres a 75million dollar price tag for the guy, Madrid was not going to break Zidane's record, mainly becuase he's not for sale. they said in order to have buy CR, you would have to have talks with Ferguson, carrying a Bazooka in the talks. they got him for a bargain around $15mill no insult to you either...but what is the doubt, that he's not a team player? i wouldnt want him to pass, the rest of Man U sorta sucks. he is there best player. going into the 4th quarter of a basketball game, who do you want to take the last shot, the best player like Kobe Bryant, Lebron James, Tony Parker, Robert Horry, or do you want to see them pass and be a team player? great players have to score, have to make moves, have to make those daring runs. he makes those runs because he can. if Ferdidnand can do what CR can do, im sure he would do the same, and just like everyone else. he's a rare talent, thats why he gets paid the big bucks, thats why he'll captain Portugal, thats why he plays for one of the biggest clubs in Europe. if anything, Strikers are the ones that should be targeted as your team player doubt. they stand up top and wait for the ball to be push forward.
