Why do everyone blame the england couch,when england are doing crap? |
no disrespect to ur team....but you have to fault the players,thats 3 or 4 managers now that hasnt been succesfull keegan,sven,mclaren. why is it never the players fault? there the one's that play the football not the manager, gerrard & beckham,for me is the only 2 that is "world class" in ur team. i just ahte the team,they think there god's gift to football. and dont dis scotland....i know we'r crap lol. i think their players are overrated, so they may be too confident . . . which would make them struggle when they face other countries with far more talent (other European countries). they don't realise the fact that they are not THE best. I think it's the result of poor coaching,so the coach would be to blame!! It varies over time. Currently the players are good enough to be top 4 in the world, the coach couldn't even be considered top 10 in the Premiership...you do the maths.. Just to add to what pretty said and your reply...McLaren didn't do it at Boro by any stretch. The season previous to him getting the job, people were throwing their season tickets at him because they were doing so poorly. The only thing that got him the England job was a jammy run in the UEFA cup with some late Maccarone goals. I don't know how you can't say Terry, Ferdinand, Rooney, Neville etc aren't world class. And I'm Scottish so I'm not at all biased here. i think the individual players arent the best in teh world, but they have more potential. i agree that most of them are kind of junk, but in the case of the 2006 world cup, the coach made really bad decisions and i think they couldve done better. it reminded me of bruce arena, the us coach... Here are the people England fans blamed for England's bad results in major tournaments over the past couple of decades, as you can see, only 2 of them are managers!! World cup '86 = Diego Maradona World cup '90 = Stuart Pearce/Chris Waddle Euro '92 & World cup '94 = Graham Taylor Euro '96 = Gareth Southgate World cup '98 = David Beckham Euro 2000 = Phil Neville World cup 2002 = David Seaman Euro 2004 = Urs Meier (Referee) World cup 2006 = Sven (and maybe even C. Ronaldo). So you see, England fans don't always blame the coach, but we usually blame someone..... Well, the media blames someone anyway. That's why we're so crap at penalties, the players are so scared to make any mistakes 'nuf said!! |
