How to tape a baseball bats handle , making X's (like Barry bonds bat)?
i will tell you the real way. take a roll of thin sports tape, not thick, because it wont come out as well. take a piece and wrap the bottom of the handle, where the knob starts. take a longer piece and go up the handle in a swirl, as if you were doing it regularly, but make spaces between the swirls. next, take another long piece of tape and do the same thing, except go the opposite direction, forming a criss-cross of the two pieces of tape. if you do it right it should ook like the X's on barrys bat.at the top but another piece of tpe to keep the ends from popping up. i tape all my bats that way, even my metal ones.
Since no one else is answering your question i will tell you what i know. It's not in the how to tape the bat. It is in the tape itself. It is special tape that all you do is put it on and it has the pertruding "x's" you are talking about so it makes for a better grip. I dont know where you can get the tape at but try sporting goods stores or eastbay.
