If you never played in High School basketball team, will you be able to play for a college team?
Im 19 years old
If you walk on and play well.
yes, you could always be a walk-on player at the college level. But it is unlikely that you will be up to par with the rest of the players that have played highschool football. Unless you believe that you are a great player and can dominate mostly anyone that you play, and your skills back it up, it is unlikely that you "will" make the team but it is possible to "try out" for it.
yes as long as you get recruited or make the try outs
Oh yes you definetly would be able to. You would just need to be good enough thats all. If you college has tryouts, go and tryout! Chances are you could make it! Just don't be too bummed out if you don't make it, because usually in college that players are very good, and also, if you didn't play high school, that also might not be too good, because you learn alot of basics when playing, and if you didn't play, thats too bad. Good luck!
You'll make it if you don't try for 1st division because it might be a little hard for you to make it to the 1st division but you'll probably go to the 2ND or 3rd division.
Yes, but you need to practice about 5 yours a day this summer.
Moving around in high school, I never got a chance to play but learned my fundamentals.
I ended up as an "Accidental Basketball Player" as an "ask on" at a Division 1 school, actually the largest single campus Division 1 school currently which has about 52,000 students but only had about 45,000 students in my playing days.
I must admit that they needed a warm body, and I am sure that I am the worst player in that school's history to ever play college basketball there, but I played Division 1 college basketball without a day on a high school team.
It takes practice, practice, practice along with a hard work ethic and a good attitude.
Durant played for the largest single campus Divison 1 school this past year on a team of almost totally freshmen with a few sophomores and no juniors or seniors. In an unusual situation like that there is always a chance to make a Division 1 school.
Basketball is a big man's sport.
So, if you are a guard type, then, if you are quick and work on your dribbling fundamentals, passing, and conditioning, there is always a chance that you can make the college team.
of course you can. but you've got to be pretty good player to just walk on to a college level basketball team. high school usually builds you up for the intensity in college, but then again, if you really do have the talent or potential, you could play.
