I have to ask, why do people call Kobe valuable? |
I've heard it lots, saying that trading him to another team would be bad because he is so valuable. I kinda hear what you are saying because he is so good, but valuable doesn't just mean you are a great athlete. It means you can be a team player, you can be a leader, you can encourage and help. I have only seen Kobe tear the lakers apart. First, it was with all the Shaq stuff. Of course, these days he's saying that he needs talent around him. Hey, true or not, you DO NOT say that about your teammates. What happened to being in the trenches together? I feel like yes, he's an incredible basketball player, but as far as valuable, I'd take Lebron, Duncan, Tony Parker, Shaq, D-wade, Garnett and a list of like 20 others before I'd take Kobe as far as getting a team going. Garnett has the same problem in MN, but you never hear him punking out his teammates or coach. It's not all that I dislike Kobe, it's just looking at the recent history...you tell me... Kobe is a necessary evil in life. I hate him to death due to his ego, selfishness & immaturity. Like it or not, however, he sells tickets & merchandise. Tons of it, to other idiots that share the same values as he possesses. Its just poetic justice that he's in agony over his situation that he himself brought upon himself in the first place. you know the answer and more than that but why you are not confident. Don't forget that basketball in the NBA is all about putting butts in the seats. Kobe's value stems from his ability to get people to come to the games to watch him play. the call kobe valuable because the just watch sportcenter to see he scored 35 or 50 in a game, and not that he shot 30% or did not have an assist. basically they don't know basketball, they are kobe fans not basketball fans. I think because he can score whenever he wants to I don't think he is. He's a cancer to the sport of Basketball. if he leaves they will hardly sell any tix at staples, there goes your #1 selling jersey and the lakers would only win like 20 games/yr |
