Tito Trinidad making a comeback, a big impact or big mistake? |
As a Puerto Rican i have to support my guy coming in although i must admit it is a mistake. He already proved himself, he's no longer in his prime, a questionable loss to Hopkins cuz i think the fight was bought, and an obvious loss to Wright. He is our hero he doesn't need to prove anything else to the boxing community, but him comming back i think is not the right move. Then against Roy Jones Jr.... i dont know... i will always be in my boys corner i just hope if he comes back its becuz of his desire and his heart, not because of money... since he is not in his prime it is easy for these clowns to fight him now and say.. oh yea i beat trinidad... but he will be 36 ... i dont know... big mistake but i will root for him... what you think? There are fights he can win but I think Roy Jones is a poor choice. He needs to fight someone who is going to stand infront of him like Mayorga did. He is a good fighter and I think Oscar's training down there has lit a fire underneath him and has enkindled that desire to compete again. I think sometimes there are questions you have to answer for yourself and Trinidad wants them answered in the ring. At 36 he is still in good shape. There is a young 36 and an old 36 and I think he is the young 36. There is a fight or two probably left in him but I would choose them carefully. Jones is not as shot as people make him out to be. He had two bad fights and some confidence shaken but even at 75% he is still an elite fighter. boxing is over its all about UFC big mistake, but against jones jr he has a possibility to win my boyfriend (boxer) Why the heck not? That being said, Trinidad should start against a club fighter and work his way back up against increasingly better competition. tridad was overated he needs money so he will box. he will pick a warm up bout then a big name then a big superstar match. more money for a done old trinidad I am not a Felix Trinidad fan personally but I know he is a great fighter. Roy is too big for him though. They will surely have to fight fairly heavy because Roy is not going to be able to get down to the weights Tito normally fought at. I think Roy will hurt Tito and he should fight someone closer to his size. A good 154 opponent or maybe even 160 but Jones will be too big for him at super middle or light heavy. |
