Manny Pacquiao and Marco Antonio Barrera will fight at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas on Oct. 6 after a lawsuit over Pacquiao's rights between boxing's most powerful promotional companies was settled on Friday. http://sports.yahoo.com/box/news;_ylt=at... Are you kidding? How is this worth watching? They already fought and Pacquiao destroyed him, and Barrera is far past his prime now, how is this worth watching? Please tell me this was a joke? I have lost respect for Pacquiao for actually taking this fight. He should be rematching Marquez. I'll take Manny in that fight, although he's still no "Pretty Boy" Floyd. Thats great news! Barrera deserves it. That is the only fight he has wanted since 2003. Barrera knows how to make adjustments and although most people are taking Pacman, I still believe that Barrera is the better boxer of the two. Pacquiao has more power but I think Barrera can weather the storm and come out with a victory this time. Even if he doesn't he deserves the opportunity for all that he has given to the sport of boxing. Many didn't think he Marco would give Rocky Juarez a rematch but to his credit he did and not only that he took him to school! A fourth fight with Morrales is a bit scary after Morrales was knocked out by Pacman and dominated by Zahir Raheem. Considering he has lost 4 of his last 5 fights I'd like to see him win a couple "easier fights" before entering another war with Marco. This division is where it is all at -- no ducking no hiding everyone fights everyone! I can't wait! The REAL P4P champ vs. an all-time warrior! Won't have to wait for the sparks to fly in this one! Barerra barely lost to the hungrier Marquez. He is still very viable. Best news I have heard in months, but the article you listed quoted a potential Barrara/Pacquiao rematch not a Marquez rematch. Either way it's good news that DeLa Hoya and Arum settled their squabble over Pacquiao. Marquez/Pacquiao II is a necessity, you can't leave something like that hanging. After the vampires finish feeding I hope there is enough left of Manny to make a fight of it in the rematch with Marquez. Marquez finished strong and appeared to have Pacquiao's number after the beating he took in round one. I was amazed Juan turned that one around, great fight, and a great show of class by Marquez. i love this sort of fight where theres two guys of almost equal talent but i got to go with paq-man only because hes possibly the hardest hitter in boxing now and hes proven himself a champion and barrera has lost to him twice i think. thanks ~Cherokee74 Barrera wins cause he will come so prepared for this fight.....since it will basically be his last fight but they will have set up pacquiao-Barrera III....After pacquiao face Marquez in a rematch....then face Soto i would call it a career....i think pacquiao should of face Soto or Marquez but that can always wait....i see Barrera wants redemption! I'm looking forward to this... |
