Who is the greatest boxing family? |
Here is a list according to wikipedia. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/notable_box... Blogbaba looks at two heavyweight champions and a Jr. Welterweight champ and gives the edge to the Spinks family. The Canazalas family, the Marquez faimily and the Mayweather family get honorable mentions. the mayweathers, they had 3 fight for a title and make the top ten list I say the Baer's - because they gave us Jethro too! i like the ceasers i change that cheasers i like best thanks ~Cherokee74 ps alis may be best 1. Spinks 2. Mayweather 3. Curry 4. Canizales The Spinks family have Michael. Damn good champ at lt. heavy. 3 champs in one family...can't beat that. A couple of Olympic medals don't hurt. The Mayweather's have Floyd Jr. and Roger. With the work that Floyd Sr has done as a trainer and Floyd Jr.'s potential in the future...this could likely be the #1 family down the road. The Curry's.... How would you feel if your Son's came to dinner and both had championship belts on? This happened in the Dallas area....gotta be one hell of an experience. Imagine the bragging rights for Bruce and Donald's parents!! The Canizales'. Talk about guys that get overlooked. I wouldent say they were the greatest but one that wasent on that list was the Mckenzie family. Clinton Mckenzie was european champion and Duke Mckenzie was a three time multi weight world champion. The Klitsko brothers deserve a mention as well as like the Spinks,s they are the only brothers to have held versions of the world heavyweight title, but Klitskos have both been two time world champions. |
