I am looking for any information on a boxer called Ellis. He was a British Champion in the 30's or 40's. |
I think his first name was Tommy, or Billy and he was a British Champion in the 30's or 40's. I am not sure of the weight but it was something like Welter, Light or Feather. I also think he was from the Manchester area. There was a Billy Ellis who had one fight back in 1940, he was from Manchester, England. His only fight was against someone named Billy Mayne, Eliis was KO'd in the 3rd round, it doesnt say which weight class he was in but this is the closest i can find.
