Can 袧懈泻芯谢邪泄 袙邪谢褍械胁 make a comeback or is he a shot fighter? Ric, this is an interesting question. Before anything else I'd like to point out that, in my opinion, Nikolay Valuev is absolutely not a shot fighter. This man only had one loss as a professional, he has never been seriously injured or even knocked out in his career and there is no reason what so ever why he shouldn't have several more big fights ahead of him. But, if by making a comeback you refer to him becoming a world champion once again I think that at this point it will be an extremely difficult task. Things in heavyweight division seem to be changing now. With Vitali Klitschko set to return, and no doubt reclaim the WBC title (regardless what some ignorant people on this forum say or wish that would happen - neither Maskaev or Peter are a serious threat to him) on one side and Chagaev and Ibragimov having a unification bout on the other (where I honestly believe that Ruslan should prevail without many problems), there is really very little room left. And now there is also Alexander Povetkin in the picture, who can't possibly be more then one or two fights away from a title match at this moment, which makes things for Valuev that much more difficult. Nikolay is a good fighter, no doubt about that, but in my opinion just not good enough to take on the Klitschkos, Chagaev (which we have already seen) or Povetkin. And I think that's exactly what he will have to do to get the heavyweight championship back in very near future. So no, I honestly don't believe that's something we can expect from him. Ok Ric you got me, who is the guy your talking about, I got no clue who he is. |
