Who will win? Margarito or Paul Williams? |
I am considering laying down some serious money on this fight.I am leaning towards Margarito although he has not fought in a long time. All opinions are appreciated. Margarito by 10th rd TKO. Williams just barely got by pillow fisted Mathisse and has never faced a strong, iron-chinned fighter like Margarito. By the way, Margarito's last fight where many said he looked weak was against a big, strong, awkward, undefeated Clottey who has never even been stung by a punch. Williams will look good early on, landing effective jabs and counters, but he WILL eventually fall apart under Margarito's relentless pressure and volume punching. i want margarito to win but paul williams could end his unification bout with cotto in a quick second....it would be a more intruging match-up between cotto-margarito then cotto-williams.....Plus it's tough to call cause williams is really hungry and he been wanting this fight for awhile....but he haven't never faced someone like a elite welterweight like margarito....and margarito hasn't looked impressive in his last fight....if williams get his distance and use his reach to his advantage....it could be a short night for margarito....I'm going with margarito but it doesn't matter who wins to me cause i'm ready to see the winner face my boy miguel cotto.....I want like a cotto-mosley fight I like Paul Williams, right now I don't think he's ready to fight a seasoned fighter. I think a couple of more hard fought battles he'll be ready. Right now I say Margarito , on experience only. if paul uses a good jab, he should win hands down cause he's bigger and taller but experience is a factor too..............i love upset gimme paul in 10th round tko. Margarito will be giving up 9 inches in reach advantage. Williams also has a 3 inch height advantage, is undefeated, and is finally on the verge of major recognition. Sounds like I favor Williams. I don't. This will be a close fight, too close to bet on. Margarito, even though he has lost some fights, has fought the better competition and has a good chin, negating any power advantage Williams has. I have Margarito winning by close decision. Should be a great fight. Maragrito!!!! Save your money, Margarito is about to lose his title. Williams is for real, and after the Margarito fight everyone will know it. |
