Mayweather-Hatton, Mosley Welterweight champ? |
Isn't Mosley the Welterweight champion now? I thought if Floyd didn't fight Mosley after De La Hoya, he'd be stripped of his WBC welterweight title. Its likley Mayweather-Hatton will take place at Welterweight, would anyone like for this thing to be a 10 rounder? Yeah you are correct, Mosley is the interim belt holder and if Floyd doesnt fight the Mandatory against him then Mosley becomes the WBC Welterweight champ, i believe there is a decision being made by the WBC at the moment as to which weight Mayweather is champ at as you cant hold the two belts at the same time and the most probable thing is he will be stripped of the Welter belt. Also if Hatton and Mayweather do get it on at Welter which seems the most obvious weight for it too happen i would be surprised if was a 10 rounder, there would without doubt be some alphabet belt available to allow the promoters to make it a 12 rounder. why would you want it a 10 rounder it'll be best a 12 rounder. And as far as mosley getting stripped of his belt, you cant strip someone of their belt for not fighting someone that has declared to retire from the sport.... NO!!!!!!!! IT SHOULD BE A 5 RD FIGHT. SO THAT GAYWEATHER WONT BE A TRACK STAR IN THIS FIGHT. First of all Mayweather will not get stripped of his belts. Mosley is not a unified champ. Cotto has belts. So that will make the fight a 12 rounder in which Mayweather will probably pick Hatton apart. But Hatton has a punchers chance. But all in all , if Mayweather wants the best opponent out there he would fight Sugar Shane. |
