Matthew saad muhummad 39-16-3 (29) vs. victor galindez 55-9-4 (34) @ light heavyweight...pick em? Once again you have come up with a great matchup and these two could have easily fought each other too as they fought several common opponents such as Yaqui Lopez and Marvin Johnson to name a few. Saad Muhammad had the most amazing recurerative powers of any fighter I've ever seen coming back from the hands of defeat to win with tremendous heart and determination. Galindez used to be more of a walk in slugger but later in his career became quite a good counterpuncher. Both men have good chins and this appears to be a fight that would go the distance and very evenly matched as far as skill level is concerned. I believe this would be an exciting fight and very close with Saad Muhammad winning a split decision and a rematch being clamored for by the boxing public. I think I will go with victor since he has the best record--but you never know in this classification who will do what. I don't think you could have found to more evenly matched hall of famers if you tried. Galindez did beat Eddie Gregory before he chaged his name Eddie Mustapha Muhammed and found Islam, and since I can find few advantages in style for either fighter I will give Victor the edge over Maxwell Antiono Loach/Saad Muhammed as well. It may not be logical, but at least it fits the pattern. Victor Galandez by 10th round KO he was good against converted Muslims. Mathew Saad Muhammad!!! |
