Charley Burley vs Sugar Ray Leonard. Who wins? |
15 rounds at middleweight Nice fight but Burley is naturaly bigger than Leonard and I would give the edge to Burley by UD. Never seen Burley fight but from what I read and from what Eddie Futch said about him and plus how he beat Archie Moore 3 times and Sugar Ray Robinson dodged him. Got to give it to him. Might be different if I seen fights of Burley. I think there is only one fight tape of Burley. has anybody seen it? If Burley could beat the great Archie Moore, little Leonard would want no part of him! At middleweight Burley takes Leonard. Burley by decision. Leonard was a much better fighter at welterweight. Leonard got the decision at middleweight against Hagler but survey people who the top 4 middleweights are and Leonard won't be one of them. Hagler would be one of the 4. I'd have to say Leonard takes this one and be different from everyone else. Burley was a very good defensive fighter and a slickster, but he could also box you and get rough with you, but Leonard was faster and just as slick, and his tactics of winning rounds with flurries and movement could frustrate even Burley. Leonard by close decision, could be wrong. Burley. Ray was the man at 147, not 160. |
