Harry Greb vs Bob Fitzsimmons. Who wins? |
At middleweight for 15 rounds I will take Greb. The man was a boxing machine. He had a natural gift for beating larger or smaller men. It was nothing for him to fight and beat men 40 - 70 lbs. bigger . He beat the larger HARD hitting punchers and the fast, QUICK smart fighters. The man would fight ANYONE. He was a ' human windmill ', with a all-out non- stop pace, in every round. GREAT stamina, extreme quickness in everything. Fought 304 bouts ( although it's belived he fought 100 or so more ). Lost 8. Greb was a mean, tough s.o.b., I think he would overwhelm Fitz. bob all the way Fitzsimmons At middleweight Greb by decision. Fitzsimmons can't knock Greb out. Greb outboxes Fitzsimmons. Greb is an all time great in top 10 pound for pound---all boxers. HARRY GREB Greb is the only one to defeat Gene Tunney. That carries a lot of weight. Greb wins! Greb all day, no question. |
