I read a question about what Joe Louis said about Rocky Marciano's punches, and it go me to think about other boxing quotes. I remember what Jim Braddock said about Joe Louis. A reporter asked Braddock how did it feel to hit by Louis and Braddock replied: "Imagine getting hit in jaw by a crowbar!" Man that was a good description any other boxing quotes said by boxers? Young Howard Cosell to Carmen Basilio before his fight with Ray Robinson: "Carmen, 9 out of 10 reporters predict that you will be knocked out". Basilio: "9 of 10 reporters are wrong!".......and they were. Also Cosell interviewing Ken Norton and Larry Holmes at poolside at Caesar's Palace before they fought for the Heavyweight Championship. "Larry, do you have anything to say about your opponent?" Holmes: "Yes. I think Kenny has been a great fighter and great champion, but I think now is my time!" Cosell: "How about you Kenny, What do you think about Larry?" Norton looks Holmes up and down for a few seconds with a disgusted look on his face, turns back to Howard and says, " I think he is a little pin-head!"
