What happen to American heavy weight boxing? All the champion are Russians:Klitschko, Chagaev, Ibragimov, Oleg We no longer have the better boxers. These men are from poor Countries that did not have the money to train their fighters the way we did.Now they are getting the same training we do.I'm not surprised by this.It would have happened long before if their boxers were able to train the way we did. These Klitschos would have wrecked havoc in boxing in any era.All these men have lived hard lives also, they are warriors. A lot of our best guys go into football, basketball, and baseball now. The big money used to be in boxing but the other sports have caught up and it's an easier living. The Joe Louis and Muhammad Ali of this generation is playing in the NFL or NBA. With the rise in popularity of these two sports over the last few decades the American talent pool in Heavyweight boxing has declined. Americans unlike their former soviet counterparts do not have early detection systems in schools to detect talent and to direct toward the proper sports. Part of the price of democracy is the ability to waste talent. russia is a communist country. so when those men wer born they couldnt do anything but boxing because thats what the government wanted them to do. but klittschko is a fa*g. have you seen that fight with him against samuel peter? he knew samuel peter would knock em out so all he did the whole fight was hug peter. that was some lame fighting from klitschko. samuel peter was fuking him up so i thing peter got robbed in that fight. even tho klitscho landed more punches but the reason he did was because all he did was 1 hit and hug 1 hit and hug so i mean how was that supposed to impress the judges right? peter in the other hand almost knocked down klitschko like 3 times but big russian loved to clinch. there should be a rule for too many clinching cuz it makes the fight boring. for example manny pacquiao i hardly see em clinch. russia isnt a communist country and when it was it meant theyre boxers couldnt fight professionally, now they can (tho alot of the boxers mentioned arent russian) with a huge population and alot of talent theyre doing well. some of the ridiculous excuses ive heard (one was its stallones fault for giving them ideas) only shows ignorance of some fight fans,if cuban boxers were to become professional there would be the same thing tho more likely in lighter weights. the world dosent end at the u.s. border, the rest of the world appreciate and love the best of american boxers, its sad to hear some of the comments made on boxing websites ive visited |
