Nikolay Valuev vs George Foreman who wins? |
Not the 1970s Foreman but the late 80s, 1990s version. Over 12 rounds at heavyweight who wins? Well at this point both fighters would definitely be right there in front of each other easy to hit. Chagaev took some big hits from Valuev but was able to keep coming forward which I don't think he could do with Foreman. Michael Moorer was beating Foreman for 11 rounds by staying away from his power punch but even after all those rounds George still had enough behind his big glove to knock out the young world champion. This fact would be the difference and George sooner or later would KO the giant Valuev inside of 8 rounds would be my guess. Excellent fight though as neither fighter would be taking too many steps backwards unless staggered from a punch. Foreman. The Klitschkos would have a real good chance though. Foreman. It`s definitely a interesting fight though. In the 70's I'd have to go with Foreman. But since that is not the question-In the mid to late 80's and 90's Of course Valuev would win. Foreman busts that bum into the next galaxy. KO round 2. You're comparing a Hall of Famer to a Don King protected fighter. A COMPLETE mismatch. Foreman easily. The fighters we have now are a couple of steps down from even the ones we had in the late eighties and early nineties. by a step down I mean the heavyweight division has shrunk about to 2/3 the size it was 15 years ago. Which means the best guys now are not as genetically formiddable boxers as the bigger pool is. Anytime you have circus freak size guys in boxing it means it it is in a slump. The best fighters ever were all 230lbs or less.Plenty of circus giants and carnival strongman tried their hand at the heavyweight ranks throughout history.Dempsey and loius both fought 300+ lb giants in their careers. The reason you never heard of them is because they were some unknown chump in the first few fights of those fighters track record that no one remembers. If we had that level of fighter today valouev would be another one of those early names. former heavyweight. |
