Boxing training?1?!? |
hi i would like to learn how to box on my own. ill give you the best answer if you can give me a website on a beginner that knows nothing about boxing. something thtat includes: jabs, right, left hooks, and straight hands, upper cuts, etc i also would like to learn how to make combos and want to learn footwork. o and the rules. and the "do's and "dont's when boxing http://www.rivalboxing.com/e/tip2-e.html... go pick a fight with a stranger....and let him win fight club www.amatuerboxing.com There's some info and videos here but eventually you'll need to join a club. Check your local police force, allot of them have gyms to keep kids off the street, kind of thing. http://www.rossboxing.com/ http://www.how-to-box.com/boxing/boxing_... hate to break it to you kid, but asking to learn a combat sport on your own is going to help you... how? By your own admission, you do not know a thing about boxing. Combo's, defensive counter moves, footwork... all alien to you. So what would work best = read a short amount of copy, interpret the instructions, do on your own, and assume you do it the right way.... or get over it and join a gym, where the coach will observe you and point out what to do, how to do it, when to do it. Sure you can read about how to jab. It won't tell you much on how to execute it correctly, and what part of your fist is to hit to target, where you chin needs to be when you do it, how fast you need to execute, what leg to use going forward, side ways, back. A coach can. If you want to learn by yourself because you are afraid of getting punched while learning the skills... you may want to think again about your desire to box. It would be like wanting to drive fast cars, but being worried about the speed. Nothing can substitute a coach, a training/sparring partner, etc. Learning to box means learning to stand in front of a guy who will want to hit you, and you will need to hit him. No website will give you that courage. If anything you can combine the research you find online with what you learn in the gym. Now, that can ad something to the whole process. :-) Decade of boxing... |
