Now there has been heavyweights who have fought but never won a title who had to retire because of injury b4 their careers took off. Im talking fighters who only had 8-15 fights. Larry Holmes was close to beat his record but he lost in his 49 fight. facts Currently you have Ruslan Chagaev 23-0 who is the WBA heavyweight champion. Only retired heavyweight was Marciano 49-0.
