Jermaine Taylor vs the junior middleweights?

Cant he find anyone his own size to pick on? Maybe a Kelly Pavlik or why not upsize to a Joe Calzaghe? He`s a talented fighter but a middleweight without a punch is just boring.

i'm from jermaines hometown of little rock and quit frankly alots been written in the local papers lately about him. It appears trainer emanual steward is oking these fights, who knows maybe to give Jt easy fights to make his own resume look good. Pavlick is up next and expect it to be a better fight than the last 3. I will say this. JT has said publicly he's not looking for knock outs anymore and I think thats an attitude coming from steward too. Steward may just be at this point training him not to loss and putting him against guys he knows he'll beat, or oking these fights

I agree, I'm sure his next fight will be a more competitive fight. But the fans also have to understand that Taylor fight three difficult fights in a row, those being Hopkins twice,and Winky Wright. You can say he deserved a couple easy fights after that, but what I don't like is that he did not knock those jr. middleweights out, thats the only problem I have about those fights. He should have knocked those guys out. Period.

I used to be a big Taylor fan, but I think the guy is coming a bit unwound. he used to be a very polite guy, but now he's all surly and talking about money - My God! - he's becoming Floyd Mayweather!! I think it is because he hasn't met everyones lofty expectations. He better better get his head straight or Kelly Pavlik will knock him out! Pavlik is hungry and very tough, and if you are standing in his way, you better have your 'A' game.
There is no denying Taylor's talent. No matter how you look at it, Taylor has talent and heart. I just think that his management team should start matching him up with bigger fighters again. His past opposition has not been bad, and in fact, they were all talented. The only problem is that all three of them were stepping up from the junior middleweight division and Taylor has a hard time with them all. A match with Pavlik would solidify Taylor's reputation. I expect Taylor to win that match the hard way.
