Which Boxer would you love to meet? |
If you had a chance to meet with a great fighter who would you wanna meet? I've met a few like George Chuvalo and Donovan "Razor" Ruddock to name a few but I would have loved to meet Diego "Chico" Corrales. I just hope I can meet Muhammad Ali one day! De La Hoya all the way joe louis and max schmelling. what a great story between those two. i would have loved to meet them and seen those two fights.As long as i'm in fantasyland, i would schedule a rubber match for the two of them also. ali obviously. george foreman. oh and mickey ward too. gotti/ward were classics. Bernard Hopkins the "Executioner". He had such heart and he is the perfect example of a Philly fighter. Right now it would probably be Kelly Pavlik. He seems pretty cool and I love the way he fights. Of course, I would love to meet my boyhood fav Ken Norton, but he's pretty messed up these days. I have met Danny "Little Red" Lopez, Sean O'Grady, Mike Tyson, Riddick Bowe, Oliver McCall. And Mike Jameson who fought Tyson. His little brother is good friends with my lifelong best friend. I'd love to have Gatti and Ward over for beer and Bar-B-Que! See if I could get them to go at it on the lawn! LOL Rampage!!! lol i know this is under boxing but after he kicks your azz you'd wish he was just boxing lol!!!! Now? Ali. Eder Jofre. All-time? Tom Sharkey- he seems like he would have been fun to have a beer with. Oscar Bonavena- same as above. Harry Greb- Same as above, but also to get tips on how to build stamina. Harry had probably the greatest stamina of all time, bar none. Sam Langford- To become his manager! I'd do a whole media campaign and find ways to embarrass Jack Johnson into fighting him. Also to grill him on punching techniques and find out what it's like to be the most feared/avoided fighter in history. Young Griffo- Cuz he was crazy. Started bar brawls with the much larger Jim Corbett and Jack McAuliffe. Also to grill him on defensive techniques. Kid Norfolk- Same as Langford, so I could become his manager. I'd get him that title shot! He'd knock out Levinsky, Carpentier and Berlenbach then decision Dillon, Delaney, McTigue and Loughran. I'd only steer him clear of Tommy Gibbons unless forced to fight him. |
