Laila Ali got into a fight with someone in an interview? |
I distinctly remember watching some girl swing on Laila Ali on an interview but it was a long time ago so I don't remember that much...can anyone tell me about that or does anyone have a video of it? The only altercation that I can recall that Laila Ali was involved in was during a press conference to announce the fight between herself and Christy Martin, back in the summer of 2003. Martin got in Ali's face and shoved her, then Ali swung, hitting Martin twice. Unfortunately, I don't have video of it. That fight was a fluke. Martin was already retired and had to lose 30 pounds to make weight. It was about the payday. In Martin's prime, Ali would have kissed the canvas. Ali will never be half the fighter that Martin was. The pre-fight hype has already begun when both fighters got into a scuffle during a Press Conference scheduled to announce the signing of the fight.
