How do i get stronger punches?



I don't have a punching bag and i don't have the money for one.i get in a lot of street fights and i need to get stronger punches.are there any exercises i can do to get stronger punches without a punching bag?

The heavy bag is not really for developing more powerful punches.Boxers use it as a conditioning tool. It is designed to increase fitness whilst punching heavily, not to increase the power of the punches themselves.

Most of the other suggestions you have got are garbage as well.

The best and easiest way to increase punching power is by actual boxing sparring with tuition from a proper coach.

A punch is like a tennis serve in a way. It must use the entire body. The average guy only punches using his arms and a little hip work and he never gets any better.

With a boxing coach he will teach you to use footwork, hips, shoulders and lastly the arms in the correct coordination.
Once you have this your punching power will have roughly doubled over what it was before.

Secondly is getting it work during sparring. One of the hardest things about punches is actually landing them properly.

you can have the best punch in the world but if you cannot get it to work duriing high speed sparring whats the point of it?

So you learn to land on it on guys coming in, guys ducking, guys slipping, guys moving away.

What you also find then is at certain times your power goes through the roof and the impact is like tripled when you hit the guy. This is because he is also moving in a certain way to increase the power of your blow. Like towards you or ducking slightly into your punch.

This is what is known as' timing'. You time punches in such a way they hit much harder than normal depending on what the other guy is doing

This is where a boxers greatest power comes from actually. And the biggest punchers do not have the biggest punch, they have the biggest punch with the best timing.

lift weights or anything heavy lolol. and punch a large pillow or sumthing like a punching bag
increase your upper body size by lifting weights and use you whole body when you punch mainly your legs.maybe you should get advise on how to throw a punch from a boxer.
If you have access to any type of tool, like a ax or sledge hammer, work out with these and they will improve your power on straight overhand right or left punches.
yaa there is one way to get stronger punches, first u take bones soup when ever u can coz it makes ur bones hard. especially fist bones. without punching bag u can practice. first of all keep this thing in mind, u practice to keep ur fist tight dont make ur arms tight. if u make ur arms tight there will be no force in the punch. just keep ur fist tight and look at ur shadow where ever it falls. just go on box with ur shadow this is called shadow boxing as u throw ur punch in the air it increases the force in ur punch. there will speed in the punch. buddy dont forget to keep ur arm loose and fist tight ok.

If you don't have money for a punching bag then you probably don't have money for a weight set so lift weight is out. I used to fight in the ring and I don't want to gain muscle weight by lifting weight because then I have to move up in weight division and that bad new because I don't have the frame to take heavyweight punch so my trainer show me isometric exercise to increase punching power and it works. You make a fist then push it as hard as you can against an immovable object like a brick wall with BENT ELBOW as hard as you can for 30 seconds then move in 2 inches closer to the wall and repeat again and again until your chest almost touch the wall. Make sure your 1st 2 knuckles align flat on the wall. However the best technique is to avoid fight altogether, no matter how good you are someone will be better so becareful and take care.
