The way the tournament is set up, the only way they'll meet in the final is if either Brazil or Argentina place second in their group, or both place second, and win the rest of the knockout stage games. Otherwise if they both place first they'll meet in the semifinal. Yes! They are the two best teams in South America. Only if they don't meet in the semis ;). Well, Mexico will definitely be in the finals - so Argentina & Brazil can go ahead and fight for the right to face certain defeat by the hands of the mighty Mexicans in the finals. Ps. Don't pay the USA victory on Sunday any mind. They're the top two, but I think one of them won't make it to the final. They've only played a "rematch" twice, in 1946 and 1959. They had six other years with potential rematches (or re-rematches) that didn't pan out. But I'd bet the ranchero that either Brazil or Argentina is in the final. Seven of the eight times there's been an ARGxBRA final, the next Copa America final has included at least one of them. (The exception was in '39, when Peru played Uruguay.) yes i do and i hope that brasil wins like in the last copa america that brasil beat argentina like that brasil will keep having the cup BRASIL#1 Mexico vs Argentina. |
