Did Brazilian arrogance cause their loss against Poland in the U-20 WC? |
It seemed an evenly matched game, but Poland finally showed more mental toughness than the Brazilian side. With an extra player after the Poles had one man red-carded out, the Brazilians still didn't score. What happened? From what I saw, it was a combination of arrogance (ie: they expected to win) and underestimation of Poland's team. Consider the Brazilian keeper's reaction after the Polish goal from a free kick. He looked shocked and angry, like it was an insult to be scored on by a team like Poland. Really disgusting reaction by the Brazilian keeper. They totally underestimated the Poles, and overestimated their own "super" abilities. I saw no "super" talents or moves from the Brazilian team, at least nowhere near the adult Brazilian team. What do you think? I certainly don't think Poland's performance is a flash in the pan. All they need is another 3 points. Brazil will wake up, but they certainly got a bloody nose and were embarrassed in front of thousands. Its not arrogance its what They call overconfidence. They think just because they are Brazil they can beat anyone and everyone will be scared to play them. What I think is that now everyone that plays against Brazil plays harder then they would play other teams just sot that they could brag and say they beat Brazil. After all its a game and anybody can win. Mexico did in Copa America The same thing happened with Argentina vs Czech. You COULD TELL the Argentines knew it was their win and honestly I thought they'd win too, but then Czech Rep wasn't backing down! LOL Ana, I think Brasil cares about the U20. They need to form a good future. HaHaHa.. Who cares about U-20 WC?? People are just so jealous cause Brazil it's all time BEST! Hey just to reminde ya we are still the only 5 times world champions!! Brazil rocks! xo! Don't run them down. If you're a close follower of footy trends you'll know Brazilians are traditionally slow tourney starters. maybe but it was their first game you will see how brasil will come up BRASIL#1 wait till their next game donot judge them now and Poland's goal was a fanatastic one the goalie couldnot do anything to stop it ,and Poland's defence was solid too BRAZIL RULES |
