Does climbing up stairs help in my stamina?

I climbed ( sprint up ) the stairs everyday..from the 1st floor to 21st floor..once a day..i wonder does it helps me in my stamina..

Yes. But you stress your heart if you do not warm-up first.

At least go for a walk, and walk a few flights up and down before you sprint them. That will actually make it even easier for you.

Sprinting 20 flights is incredible. Great strength and stamina.
it helps...gives you a great leg and calf exercise...and also increase your heart rate...stairs over elevator definately.
HOLY JESUS! 21 floors!! yes it does help your stamina!!! But by the sounds of that you don't need to improve upon it any more...
yes,my doctor told me to climbing up stairs, but before breakfast.
i dont know what it does, but I enjoy stairs climbing, i do it as an exercise .a new habbit for the past 20 days. I climb 60 floors in the morning and 60 floors at night after dinner. I gives me lot of swaet and avery good sleep. I dont have a 60 floor building, i do it inside my house, 1 floor up and back down floor, this makes a cycle and i make 60 such cycles twice a day. My body weight seems to under control and my stamina looks encouraging. I dont sprint, I make 60 cycles in 25 min. somebody tell if if this is ok, but i feel great.
