In one day international cricket where do the players get the numbers on their back from?? ODI player numbering started in the 1999 cricket world cup, when captains were given number 1, and other players in his squad 2 to 14. Now the rules have changed, and players can choose any number between 1 and 99. Want more info on world cricket? It varies from team to team: in some cases the numbers are issued alphabetically, in other cases such as England's ODI team, the players are simply asked to pick any number they fancy from 1 to 99 ( which is why you see some pretty strange numbers ) players iq's? Ah, They get their numbers from, "Bob's your uncle." |
