How do i bowl faster with a good line...? |
I can bowl alright with a good line at slow-medium pace but how do i bowl fast and straight!? Its all about transfer of weight and action, i see young kids running in off 30 paces and bowling medium/slow! You can't teach a bowler how to bowl fast, your born with it, you can only coach how to control it.Depending on the standard of cricket your playing in, just put the ball on a good line and length and bud your take wickets. One thing most amateur or recreational bowlers don't think of is the Oil on the lane. If there's enough oil on the lane to grease your hair, speed kills. You'll get no break on the ball and it just follows whereever its thrown. It comes down to hitting your mark. If you hit your mark consistently, you'll have consistent scores. If the oil pattern is consistent, you'll adjust and make the changes necessary to up the score.
