Does anyone know good places to watch the first stage of the tour de france in the UK?

I mean the first proper stage, going out through Kent. anyone got any ideas about good places to go to to watch the race shoot by and maybe shoot some photos?

I suppose somewhere on the Kent route, or near a touristy spot (Buck Palace in the background?) along the kent stretch you might find quieter spots.

On the website you have a bit by bit route map, I have just noticed that most roads will be closed 6am-2pm on Sunday.

If you get any good shots send me a couple, I have 'sort of' followed the tour for years I have just been trying to work out where I can go (but may have trouble as my two children will be with me) Source(s): MC
london.
Look on the route web site.
