BiKE FITTING?????????????? |
HOW TO SET UP YOUR ROAD BIKE FOR YOU?????? -SEAT POST LEVEL? -SADLE? -PEDALS? WHAT WILL BE THE BEST WAY OF DOING THAT. SO IF I RIDE 3 TO 4 HOURS I AM VERY COMFORTABLE. First, remember that all "fitting systems" are based on averages and assumptions, so they are just a starting point - ultimately you have to learn what makes your body comfortable and efficient and find your own position. So you could go to a bike shop, good idea. Or here are some good articles http://www.coloradocyclist.com/bikefit/... http://www.peterwhitecycles.com/fitting.... http://www.rivbike.com/html/rr_comfposit... I realize this is probably not the exact response you are looking for, but take your bike with your clipless pedals attached, and your clipless shoes (or whatever pedals you have), and go to a bike shop that does professional fittings. If you bought it at a bike shop, they should offer a basic fitting for free with purchase, where they lock your bike onto a trainer and have you pedal while they measure you and adjust your saddle, seat tube length, stem, bars, etc. I don't know where you live, but Trek San Diego in California does this when you buy a bike from them, or they'll charge you $20 to do it otherwise. I ride a solid four hours every Sunday and the ride is perfect. |
