Eli manning for devery henderson?

i have drew brees and mcnabb. and im big time short on wr's. is this good or not? eli isnt that great for fantasy points.

Not knowing how your league is set up makes it hard to answer this, but Ill try. Id say the guy is trying to take advantage of your WR situation, and it does sound kinda bad...but check this out. Drew Brees is going to spread the ball around this year between Henderson, Bush, Meachem, Colston, and Copper. Not to mention Henderson is ranked 4th on the depth charts for that receiving corps, so his numbers will be similar to Reche Caldwells. You can get a much better receiver for Eli, especially since the Giants face horrible passing defenses. They play Washington twice along with Atlanta, SF, Miami, and Minnesota once each, all of which have sub-par passing defenses. Also, the Giants haven't got a solid running game established with the loss of Tiki Barber. This means they will rely more on their passing game with guys like Burress and Shockey as main targets. Another factor to look at would be the probability of McNabb getting injured. He is definitely injury prone and may end up taking a backseat to Kevin Kolb who was taken 36th overall in the draft for just this reason. Hope this helps, good luck this season.
here's the thing....depending on how your league works (whether you start two QBs or one) Your best move would be to trade McNabb. Drew Brees will be awesome and Eli will do ok for 1 week as a sub. Therefore, there is no need for Mcnabb AND you can get a MUCH better WR for McNabb rather than Eli. You can go for guys like Colston, Houshurmomma, Boldin, Driver, etc...for McNabb, While Eli can only get you guys like Kevin Curtis, Jerry Porter, etc...
If you have Brees, then I would make this trade in a heartbeat. Brees is a reliable option at quarterback. Devery Henderson is going to be a good receiver. Also, with Devery on your team, you could have an awesome touchdown combo with Brees and Devery on the Saints.
I agree that trading McOuch would be a better option. You will find someone that is willing to give up a #1 receiver for McNabb .
Well, your WRs blow, so you do need to do something.

Here's the deal though. Henderson is a #2, maybe a #3, depending upon Terence Copper, and how things go in training camp. Manning for Henderson means a starting QB for a mid tier (at best) WR.

That's a pathetic offer. Eli has issues, but I have to think you could find another trading partner who needs a QB. I mean, Henderson is borderline waiver wire material depending upon your league size.

You are almost better off waiting for now. You can trawl the wire and find potential studs. Brandon Marshall from Denver might be one. Vincent Jackson in SD could emerge. Is Greg Jennings out there?

Give us more information. It seems odd you would have such poor WRs.
