What is the best kind of lour to use when catching bass? |
I fish in rivers and small lakes I use a lure called a mister twister with a jig head, just reel it in sorta fast so it stays off the bottom. In the afternoon you can use a Heddon Torpedo, it looks like a frog and you jerk it every 10 seconds. i have caught 20 plus inch bass on both those lures. You can get them at any local sporting goods store or a bass pro shop. get a chatter bait. they are perfect for larger bass, but if ur just fishin like i do and catch and release use rubber worms. there is also a lure i use that isnt made for bass that i catch all sorts of fish on, its a black and yellow doted gold spinner panther martin. buzzbait in morning and chatterbait rest of day Plastic worms (texas rigged is harder to fish for some but will catch more fish.) Spinnerbaits (Willow or colordo blade) Crackbaits (deep or medium diving) Rattletraps (Any flashy color that will get the bass's attention) Topwater (anything from a buzzbait, jitterbug, and even a popper) Heddon Zara Spooks in just about any color. i like the frog pattern and the clear. Fish On! <'}}}>< In rivers I would go with the rooster tail lure they work super! In lakes I would go with the 4" worm or now in summer a small topwater bait like spin frog by snagproof,pop-r and yes a beetle spin lure! |
