I was hoping for some recomendations for what kind of rod and reel to get to do some ocean kayak fishing. Mostly for rock fish. Any tips on types of lures would be helpful as well. I am on the central california coast as well. Thanks
I fish alot of rockcod along the california coast. The ugly stick tiger stck is the most common, Fenwick pacific stick is good, I preffre rods from a company called seeker. With a basic penn real that holds plenty of 20 lb. flourocarbon line, not monofilament.
