Who will be the surprise playoff team this year? |
Who will be the surprise playoff team this year? When you mean by surprise, you mean a bad team making it or a team that just missed it last year? Either way ill give you a prediction: AFC: Bad team: Buffalo Bills- J.P. Losman looks like he's finally matured and ready to be a consistent, good QB for this team. Rookie Marshawn Lynch should make a lot of people forget about Willis McGahee. Their have a young, but good WR pair in Lee Evans and Rosco Parrish. Their defense did take a hit with losing Takeo Spikes, London Fletcher and Nate Clements, but their young guys look solid and can start to make up the damage done with those players leaving. On the verge: Denver-With Bailey, Bly and Lynch in the secondary, it'll be very tough for teams to throw the football on them. D.J Williams will be able to replace Al Wilson and with his speed he should make a lot more plays. The D-line rotation is good and should be fairly productive again. The offense is loaded once again, bringing in Travis Henry who is a perfect fit for the zone blocking scheme. Jay Cutler should be more polished, mature and have a much better season than his rookie season. NFC Bad team: Arizona Cardinals- All the young talent they have looks to be a force in the NFC West. The offensive line looks improved with Levi brown at RT, and especially with Russ Grimm coaching the offensive line. On the Verge: Green Bay Packers- The defense looks like it can be dominant once again with all 11 starters returning and looking to improve its 12th ranked defense. The offense is in question, but look for Greg Jennings to emerge as a big playmaker. In the first 7 games he had 8 cathces of 20+ yards and now fully healthy and past the rookie slump, look for him to compliment Donald Driver very well. We all know that Brett Favre will keep his team in the game, and as long as one of the RB's emerge and produces fairly well, they should have a great shot at making a playoff push. the lions because they will out score every body i wish! the jags will make it this year for the AFC:the bengals......i hate to say it cuz i am a big bengals fan but thy always fall apart with like 3-4 weeks left n wen thy need to win at least 3 games thy lose em all. for the NFC:the cowbaoys...i dont know y, thy will make it n it will supprise evryone. The Vikings will make it. I'll leave it to you to decide if that is indeed a "surprise". Also, either the 49ers or the Cardinals will make it. The 49ers are the better bet. SF. 49ers I will go with the SF 49ers for the NFC and the Tennesse in the AFC To me, teams like Denver and Cinci wouldn't be surprises because I was surprised they didnt make the playoffs last season. These two teams would truly be surprising playoff teams. the patriots----they will surprise everyone by shutting out two teams (colts and ravens) on their way to the bowl |
