Who will win the superbowl this year? |
My Chicago Bears are going all the way!! First game of the season (at San Diego), Rex Grossman continues his string of inconsistent play. Late in the fourth quarter, Merriman breaks free and crushes Grossman. Rex goes out for the season with a broken leg. Bears still win by 4 points, because the Defense holds LT to less than 120 yards rushing and only 1 TD. Against Kansas City, Brian Griese strains his throwing shoulder, and Kyle Orton tears his hamstring because he did not strecth well enough before the game. Bears lose the game despite athletic Devin Hester taking snaps and running option plays the rest of the game. Hester's Numbers look good though, 1-2 passing for 13 yards, 168 return yards, 122 rush yards and 2 tds. In desperate need of a QB, The Bears come dangerously close to trading for David Carr of Carolina. However, a former player enters the negotiations and convinces the Bears owners to let him play for the league minimum, instead. Versus Dallas, Bears Fans are surprised and delighted to see a 48 year old man in a Bears uniform run onto the field to command the team. His glaring white headband rebelliously reads "NIKE" on the left side, and "Goodell Sux" on the right side. It is at that point that the Bears fans realize that the Great Jim McMahon is back. A confused Dallas defense fails to shut down the "Geriatric" one and the Bears win easily. Other than loses in weeks 11 and 12, "da Bears" win the rest of their games and go on to march through the playoffs. In the Super Bowl they are matched up against the New England Patriots and Tom Brady. In the Super Bowl, Jim starts slow, but regains composure and leads the Bears to a decisive victory (45-14). It's a dominating performance in which Cedric Benson, Devin Hester (2), and Jim McMahon (1 passing, 1 rushing) score touchdowns. Surprisingly, so does Alex Brown, who Coach Lovie Smith sneaks onto the field on 4th and goal at the NE 1. Following Cedric Benson's lead block, Alex easily barrels into the end zone to score Chicago's last TD of the night and completes the TD with his version of the "Ickey Shuffle". As Jim McMahon lifts the Super Bowl trophy over his head, he announces his re-retirement publicly. During the post-game interview, Jim wears one last headband with the these words written on it, "23 years later, We still own New England". He vows to donate the headband to the Pro Football Hall of Fame following the game. Bears will win if Grossman goes away, otherwise New England wins. please the cowboys will smash the hell out of the bears thn go on to win the superbowl Colts the patriots will be the toughest team in all of the NFL> with the addition of stallwort and randy moss, brady now has 2 very very good recievers. not to mention the key defensive aqusitions they made. i hate the pats but there the team to beat. I think my Saints will win this year. They were a few plays here and there from beating the Bears the other manning will win it this year GO BEARS!!!! |
