Why is it that nicolas anelka was never selected to the world cup for france? |
i know he has a reputation of being the "incredible sulk" but his talent cannot be denied. for all we know, he probably could've shined on the international stage. especially for this past world cup. France has a tradition of not picking talented but slightly character-flawed players ie Eric Cantona, David Ginola, Robert Pires. I suppose Anelka falls in that category. i don't get it either; he is an outstanding player they had henry, saha, trezuget His character. If he keep work hard and stop talking, we will not see henry shine in arsenal. he will be the king of highbury. Same as France squad. past french coaches do not have the character to handle the temperament of incredible sulk... as they don't want to risk distraction and dsiruptions, anelka is left out... seems to me has mellowed now and have his temper in check... |
