What happened to eric medlen?

On Monday,following the race in Gainsville,he had a wreck during a test session.He was hospitalized with severe head trauma.He never regained consciousness and died Friday March23.Very sad day for me and all DRAG RACING fans.John Force Racing will NOT be in HOUSTON this weekend.

During testing in Gainsville, FL, Eric crashed into the wall. His chassis snapped in half. He suffered from unconscience and a severe head injury. Later they found out his brain was hemorrhaging very bad. He underwent a three hour craniotomy, and was put into a drug induced coma. His vital organs began to fail, so his family took him off of lifesupport, as he wished.

Last week a viewing and funeral were both held in Brownsburg, Indiana, home of John Force Racing.
