People started saying how Altidore was the new teen prodigy and he had certainly shown it. They said for Adu to keep his rep and his chance of going to play in Europe intact he needs to show something in the U-20 World cup . He got a hat trick in the portugal game and how does that make him look in america and europe and how many total goals will he have. Adu is a very good play and he showed that with his hat trick in the US' vuctory over Poland. From what I'm noticing, he plays better when he's playing for the US then when he's playing for his club team. With that in mind I think he and his agent need to find a club team that better suits him and where he can play to his full ability and potential because he doesn't really seem to be playing that great with Real Salt Lake. He played better when he played for DC United and he saw less playing time. I don't really know what could be the cause or reason for him not to play as well as he does when he plays for his club team then when he plays for the US. I can only speculate on that. I also have to wonder if he's not really all that happy playing for Real Saly Lake because he hasn't done much playing for them but look how well he plays for the US. He really wanted to play for the US in the 2006 WC but couldn't. He really want's to be part of the national team which he is, and is happy when he plays for the US. I can't help but to think he's happier when he plays for the US and likes playing for the US and so naturally he'll play better for them than if not that happy to be playing for Real Salt Lake. I think he would be happier playing in Europe somewhere because I know he really wants to. I really hope for his sake he does well in the U-20 World Cup so that he doesn't loose his chance of playing in Europe. I hope that he does play well and and a European team make him a good, worthwhile offer because he's not going to get too far playing for Real Salt Lake. Poland is a good team from what I've heard and him scoring a hat trick against them does make him look very good but it still has America wondering why he isn't able to play like that for his club team. Again I don't think he's as happy playing for Real Salt Lake as he is for the US. I also don't think he puts forth the effort for them as he does the US because of that. If he can play that well on the international level, he should do that well for his club team, too but he doesn't. I don't now how many goals he'll have in the U-20 WC but I think he'll at least double what he has now. I heard Adu scored 3 goals on Poland in the U-20 USA won 6 to1. Go USA!!!!!!!!!!!! |
