Invented by Alfred Nobel, of Nobel Prize fame. 1 parts KA 2 parts BOOM The active ingredient is nitroglycerine, a liquid which can explode if you just shake it. To make dynamite, which is not nearly so sensitive, they mix the nitroglycerine with some powdered stuff such as sawdust, clay, diatomaceous earth, etc. It takes a small explosion to make the dynamite explode.
