Paint ball? |
umm i might go play paint balling so um does it hurt is it fun if it is hurtful is it worth it hey yea i was gonna go for fourth of july but i didnt go =(...i asked this same question almost ..and this guy wrote this ...it is very usefull... http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;... I have been playing competitve paintball for 5 years. I have a jersey and pants and all the fancy stuff but for the first 2 years that I played recreationally, I did this and it is FINE. First, understand that if you wear a lot of padding, people will pick on you and shoot you way more and some people will go out of their way to shoot you up. The NPPL and PSP rules don't even allow padding except for neck, elbows, and knees, and chest pads but only for females. In my opinion, none of these are necessary since this is your first time. I am going to list the ideal outfit that you can get together without buying gear that you may only use this one time. Remember that although paint from paintballs don't stain, the grass, dirt, mud, and whatever else you come into will. Rips and whatnot are common. So consider this when wearing your clothes, they may get ruined. TOP: Wear a t-shirt underneath a long sleeve shirt if you have one. Don't wear stuff that is super thick. If you want, it is very very popular to wear hoodies (sweaters with the hood). People actually wear the hood on their heads to protect the rest of their skull since the mask will only protect your face. Headgear: I wear a sandana or more often I just put on a baseball cap backwards and I'm good to go. If you go with the hoodie, just wear the hood on your head. Not a big deal, most pro players don't even wear these because it gets hot. Plus, your skull is the hardest bone in your body. Neck: don't recommend this at all. But if your neck is particularly sensitive, wrap a towel or something around it. Hands: not necessary, lots of pro players don't even use these. I recommend fingerless gloves because that way it is easier to pull the trigger and do stuff that requires precision. Full-fingered gloves are terrible. All the people I know have full-fingered gloves that they deliberately cut the fingers off of. These can be work-out gloves or even your everyday gardening gloves. Again, this is not even a big deal, don't worry about it if it's a hassle. Shoes: Ideally if you have a pair of soccer cleats or football cleats or any cleats, they help. Make sure they are not metal because those aren't allowed. If you don't have cleats, just wear running shoes or boots that you can get dirty. Pants: Jeans or Sweatpants are the way to go. You don't want to wear two pants, just one layer, trust me on this. Sweatpants are super comfy and baggy and soft. Jeans are tougher and might not rip as easily. It's a personal choice. I have a guy on my team that refuses to wear anything but jeans. Underpants: Just wear what you normally wear. If you like to wear compression shorts or spandex when you run, do that. I think I pretty much covered it. Remember to have fun and drink lots of water throughout the day. Paintball is an amazing sport. Don't be too afraid of getting hit, it's not that bad. As a general rule, paintballers like "bounces" which is where a paintball hits you but doesn't break on you. In this case, you aren't out and you still get to play. This is achieved by wearing baggy clothes, my pants and jersey are 1 size too big to fit well and I get great bounces. The only downside is that bounces hurt more than actual hits because the ball doesn't break to release any energy so you take it up on your skin. I hope this helped. Again, you don't need padding, you will look dumb and be a target to those that frown upon you. Unless you are a girl, they probably won't give you a chest pad either. Bottom line: have fun. it definately stings but just for a little bit.and yes the pain is worth it.and the more you play the more hits and pain your body can take. it stings for a bit and you dont want to be hit at close range, but paintball is well worth the sting It hurts a tiny bit. But is mega fun, way worth it. More fun than pain :) Do it If you get into the game then you prolly wont feel your first shot very much. Adrenaline builds up really fast and will help with the pain. havefun be safe. Never take your goggles off on field. OC Heroics paintball d2 SoCal Valor paintball d3 Ltz Paintball pro |
