Mount hood?

What does everyone think happened to the other two mountain climbers?

The news is saying that they must have fallen when the winds were kicking up around 100 mph.
That is the only practical assumption.
From what I've been hearing out and about in town and such is that there have been more than just a few fallen climbers in that specific area that these guys tried to make it down.
I really wish that they all would have been found safe. Of course, don't we all..
I can't imagine what was going through thier minds when each hardship started building against them and they knew that they weren't getting out of there alive.
And they came from so far away too. And Christmas also.
I don't think that they quite knew what they were getting into from the start. It obviously overwhelmed them.
It really sucks that it all turned out the way it did.
Such devistation for everyone..family and rescuers and such.
I just hope that the new climbers to come take all of this as a lesson\warning to expect the unexpected. Source(s): Live in Oregon
Climbing gear found on the peak suggested the two may have been swept to their deaths over a cliff or buried in an avalanche.
Could they be in another cave? Yes. But by now hypothermia has set in. They were experienced climbers, but with one being injured things just went from bad to worse with the storm.
Unfortunately, they either fell to their deaths, or huddled somewhere to try and wait out bad weather. There has been so much snow up there since then, that they are no doubt covered by ice and snow, and their bodies will be revealed in the late spring when the thaw comes.
