Whats a good snowboard for a 12 year old begginer? |
Whats a good snowboard for a 12 year old begginer? It depends on several factors, including height, style, and level. Check the following website to see what board length you need for your height: http://www.snowboarddepot.com/snsich.htm... If you are aiming for a particular slope style, then you might want to try different brands to see which board best suits your purposes. If you just want to snowboard, I suggest that you get the "standard" snowboards (like the ones that one might rent at a ski/board shop). If it's a girl the Burton Ginger 134-137 I'd say. If it's a boy then the Burton Punch 135-140. I'd really need to know gender, height, and weight to give you the complete rundown:) It depends how much you will be ridin. If your gunna be ridin more than once a week, I would suggest investin in a Head intermediate board, but If your just guna ride every once in a while, find a local shop and buy either a board on sale or one of their own boards, which will ride fine. 5 years of snowboardin experience and amatuer sponsership Alot of snowboard companys make junior models of their popular boards such as Forum Youngblood, K2 Zepplin etc. Not all of these boards are suitable for a begineer rider though. Burton although not my favourite company do a good range of boards for the junior rider the Burton Shawn White mini is supposed to be a good beginners board also some others the Punch and Chopper I think? not totally sure on the names are worth looking into. Salomon and Lamar are two other companys that seem to make quite a few junior boards. Good luck keep up the riding The shaun white collection from burton. Lots of the 6-12-ish guys, i've noticed have his board. http://burton.com/productdetail.aspx?pid... http://burton.com |
