If I am 4 foot 9, then how tall would my snowboard need to be? |
If I am 4 foot 9, then how tall would my snowboard need to be? NO, NO, NO, NO, NO!!!!!! Don't any of you people know what you're talking about!!?? Your snowboard size depends almost NONE on your height. You CANNOT base somebodies snowboard size on their height or tell them it should be to your chin!! It's all in the weight!!! As for the guy who asked this email me your weight at my answers page, then I can give you what your snowboard size should probably be. I am ashamed in all of the previous answerers!! And I do know what I'm talking about. I'm number four answerer in the snowboarding category. Go check if you want. Source(s): 3 years snowboarding i am 5 foot 2. i started with a 146, and now i ride a 151. stand the board upright, it should come up between your chin and nose, for a beginner. then get a longer board for those pow pow days a snowboard is just the right size when it goes up to your nose when you stand up. It is too small when it only goes to your chin. I snowboard a lot. in the middle of ur chin and nose...uhhh 139 I agree with issasnowboarder that your weight is the most important thing to take into consideration when buying a snowboard but your height and level of riding definately come in to it also. Going by your height and guessing that your a begineer rider id say if you are under 50kg go for around a 145 if you are under 60kg around a 148 etc. Also the length of your board depends on what style of riding you do, i do mainly jib type riding and currently ride mostly a 154. If you put my height and weight into one of those charts you find on the net it would say i need a 158 which isent wrong but is more geared arouned if i was going for an all mountain board. The lengths ive given you are for an all mountain board which is the best type of board for a begineer rider to buy as they can be used for all types of riding, but if you are more into freeriding go for a slightly longer board, if you are into Jib? freestyle riding go for a smaller one. Good Luck |
