Any recommendations for how i should store my snowboard during the warm season? Okay... everyone has told you about the storage wax... see other posts That is 1 part of proper storage! There is more... As a rule, keep it where you would sleep - if you would sleep in a dank damp garage or basement then by all means keep your board there. If not... you get the idea don't keep it on carpet or paint as it can cause rust due to moisture in the paint and static electricity (believe it or not) in the carpet Lastly, you want to keep the camber of the board (the spring). When you place the board on the ground, the middle doesn't touch - this is the camber. You should ideally keep your board upside down supported near both ends so the middle can hang (for lack of a better word) Source(s): ski/board tech Apply a fairly thick coat of wax to the base but do NOT scrape it as you would if you were normally waxing your board. This will ensure that the base doesn't dry up over the summer. Also, ensure there is no rust on the edges and the board is stored in a relitively dry spot. 3 years as a ski/snowboard technitian i put mine in the corner of my room b/c it looked cool Well I would apply a coat of wax to it without scraping it, then store and scrape some time during the summer, and rewax without scraping again, just to keep the wax fresh. Don't bother doing your edges because all sorts of stuff can happen to them and you would just do them again next winter I always get mine professionally waxed at the end of the season to keep it moist all summer. otherwise it sits in my room, just like when I'm not using it in the winter, and I make sure to dust if off every coupla days.
