What's the average tee time for golf outings?

Trying to assist a friend with corporate planning... He's thinking a golf outing. First, what's a good tee time- early? Late? Also, is there anything we should know about in general?
Thanks!

I depends on how big the group is.
If you only have a dozen people, then you have 3 sets of 4 people. They could start at 7AM, and be all done by 11:30 AM or noon, before it starts getting to hot out.
But if you have a group of 30-50 people you need to do a shot gun start.
If you have 36 people you would put groups of 4 people at Tees 1-9 and have them all start at 7AM. That way they would all finish before noon.
If this sounds to confusing, just go to the golf coarse and talk to the Pro at the coarse and tell him your group size, and when you plan to have the event. He will be glad to help you with all the details.
Plan to have some food for the players when they are done, and beer always makes the food go down easier. LOL Source(s): A long time golfer, and visitor of the 19th hole on every golf coarse that I have played on.
You want to start early enough so you have enough daylight to play; usually 4 hours or more. And the weather has a lot to do with it too. It summer, it's hot; the earlier the better.
I have seen them anywhere between 8am to 2pm. My favorite is 10am. Early, but not to early. Plus you usually finish in time for an early dinner.
the tee time is best reserved in the morning. Generally, it is smart to get a tee time 48 hours in advance. Depending on the quality of the course you are playing on. If you get a late tee time chances are you will not finish 18 holes. early tee times guarantee you finish. However, later tee times are cheaper.
Have Breakfast at 8:00, Hit balls at 9:00, Tee off at 10ish be done in time for happy hour! Have fun!
you want them to have enough time to eat breakfast and hit some balls so not to early i say you start around 1030 and have 10-12 min between tee times unless you want a 5 hour round PLEASE TRUST ME do not go with 8 min in between or you could start at about 8 or 830 and have a big lunch instead of breakfast
