Where are the ducks going to trade bryzgalov??? |
now that giguere is signed long term and anaheim signed a couple euro goalies. they wont. when the ducks needed in in round one he came threw going 3-1. so they are going to use him as the backup they been using him as for a while they really shouldnt right now unless they are talking with some team about their star player, for bryz then its really not worth it. they made a great trade with may and the goalie and they probley signed the euros to fill in the blank i think they might trade him away for a Dman if they lose neidermeyer to retirement. They could also move him and a prospect/draft pick for a top 2 line player to replace selanne if he retires. Maybe they'll go the islanders for jason blake? Bryzzy would be a good backup for depietro if dublewiecz stays in the ahl. I doubt Ducks will trade him. Anahiem got the one two punch in Bryzalov and Giguere and not many team have that. Well, they may not but if they do, it is for several reasons- Money- you are paying your #1 goalie 6 million so you have to play him 3/4 of the time. Bryzgalov at 1.4 million might be a little steep for a back-up when paying your starter that much. Also, in fairness to Bryzgalov-he deserves to start alot more games and probably deserves to be a starter on some team. I thought he would go to Florida, now maybe it will be LA, however teams don't like to deal within their conference too much. Whatever the case, the player deserves a better fate and it is not fair to him to start hiom 20 games and maybe hamper his game/progress etc. Also, if he does not get traded this year they would lose him for nothing next year when he becomes a UFA. He should be able to command 3 million or more with a good season this year and the Ducks don't want a back-up for that price. He is good as gone next year so get something while you can. Someone pointed out that it might be a better idea to wait until the trade deadline and see who needs a goalie for a play-off push where they will over-pay. This sounds brilliant. Also, you get his services for another half season and you get more for him then you might get now. Cheers i really wish they wouldnt i love illya and he contributed his part just as much as jiggy did it sucks that he has no say in the matter but you have to look at it from both perspectives illya deserves to be a starting goalie and that we love him and wish he would come back cause jiggy did take a lot of injuries and he is the best back up you can imagine |
